About the event

Fife Show is a traditional agricultural event that has evolved into a great family day out. As the Show has expanded, so has its popularity with exhibitors and visitors alike.

Showing classes take place for cattle, sheep, horses, poultry and pets. In the cattle sections there are classes for pedigree stock such as Aberdeen Angus, Belted Galloways and Highlanders as well as for commercial beef and dairy animals. Sheep classes include, amongst others, Border Leicesters, Suffolks, Texels and Shetlands.  The heavy horse breeds – Shetlands, Highlands and Clydesdales – have a full range of affiliated classes and the light horse section runs both in-hand and ridden classes. These include BSPS, NPS Scotland,  Blair Castle, VHS, RoR& BHS Scotland qualifiers.  Driven Heavy Horse turnouts are a sight to be seen with classes taking place in the main ring and the added attraction of HOYS qualifiers in 2024 for both Driven and Ridden Heavy Horses.  Showjumping classes, including RHS qualifiers, are held at the top of the Showfield. Sadly this year we still won’t have Poultry classes,  but we will have Egg classes.  To encourage younger exhibitors, there are classes for young handlers in the cattle, sheep, Shetland pony, Highland pony and Clydesdale horse sections.  If you would like to exhibit at the Show, please see the Exhibitor Information section for details of classes, entry fees, closing dates etc.

The Game Fair area has numerous activities going on throughout the day, often including demonstrations of falconry, ferret racing,  gun dogs, angling and much more. The Dog Show (entries taken on the day) is also held here.

As well as hosting showing classes, the Main Ring is the place to see the Champion of Champions crowned, a parade of vintage and classic vehicles and the Young Farmers Tug O’ War .
